A young couple brought to us their own idea of the house. After a year of thinking and designing (by themselves)
they felt so comfortable with their proposal that they wanted just a few changes on elevation and plans. An
urban location on the site and distribution of functional programme of the house was quite correct so it was
hard to find a job for an architects unless you enjoy moving the windows. In our design an existing idea becomes
a context for the new one. The new structure inspired by oriental fascination of investors is a multifunctional
porch wrapping a house around?an added space between house and garden. The form is generated by offsetting
the outline of the house. It contains extra programme: entrance area, canopy, Japanese garden, terrace, play area,
dining room, winter garden, etc. ?Offset house? offers a space for additional activity, at the same time meeting all
client?s goals?its an extension of the client?s idea.
