This project is a transformation from single house typology, including all typical activities, into water environment.
\nWater area is entirely treated (not just in waterside zone) as an area of urban action. ‘Island’ is the fundamental
\nelement of urbanization in this environment. The mobility of the ?island? allows for an separation as well as
\ncreating ‘archipelago’ of neighbours relations. The essential element of this project is a timber ribbon, shaped
\ninto functional and aesthetic continuum. The ribbon adopts the activity programme of the ?island ? house? and
\ncreates amphibious landscape. Some part of the natural environment is adopted for householders uses and
\nbecomes a programmed element of the landscape – the water garden (lilies, canes and carps). The project exploits
\nurban, architectural and sociological potential of the island for creating an alternative amphibious way of living.<\/p>\n
